You have just purchased your new Hurricane fenders and you can’t wait to get out onto the water. We understand that you are excited to be going on that boating trip you have been planning for months. But have you made sure that you have packed all the essentials?

Well, here are our 5 Sailing Essentials:

Waterproof Jacket

We know it’s the summer and you don’t think you need a jacket when sailing. While we hope the skies remain clear and blue, this isn’t always the case when out at sea. Waterproof jackets can come in handy when the weather takes a turn for the worst

Legal Documents

Please don’t set off without all the essential documentation! We can’t stress this enough. If you are sailing abroad, you must make sure you take your passport, boating license, bank card, insurance etc. It is always better to be safe than sorry!

Bathing Suit

Don’t forget to pack a bathing suit! It might sound silly, but we often forget the very obvious items. It may also be beneficial to take multiple pairs (ensuring you keep your baggage light).

Accessories

Packing the correct accessories is just as important as ensuring you have the appropriate clothing. We all love the sun, but too much exposure can be dangerous to our health. The UV rays can be strong, especially when reflecting off the water. That’s why we recommend that you bring sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen!

Fender Keyring

Replacing boat key’s can be very expensive and could put a damper on what could be considered an amazing experience. Set off with peace of mind knowing that even if your key’s go overboard, they can be easily identified and retrieved. We recommend our Keyring Collection as they provide enough buoyancy to keep keys safe from sinking.
